Holes for bolt don’t line up

Holes in the sleeve for the top bolt do not line up with the top overhang bar holes. Also, the sleeve does not match what is shown in assembly instructions. It still supports the weight of the bag (130 lbs) but using the bottom bolt only. Overall, it performs as expected.

A bare bones heavy bag stand.

I purchased this stand off the Outslayer site because I needed it cut to fit my basement gym. It arrived exactly as I requested and fit perfectly in my gym. I know a lot about fitness equipment and pricing. This stand is about $800. The cost of steel has gone up so that will drive the cost of the stand. But after putting it together, i questioned if it's worth $800. There are no end caps on the legs which could help in stabilization. The paint on the stand seems somewhat cheap, but it's ok. The sleeve which joins the top portion to the bottom portion could be beefed up for better support along with more bolts added. It really is a bare bones heavy bag stand. It has been performing well and seems to be pretty sturdy. I placed the stand on a 1/4 in thick rubber mat. With the sandbags in place the stand does not move at all nor does it make much noise. All in all it's doing what it's intended to do and doing it well. There are other stands simular to the Outslayer design that sell for well over $1500 so I guess for the money, this stand is good. The outslayer heavy bag stand is fine for my 100 pound bag but I would question if it would perform the same with a 150-200 plus bag hanging from it. It does come with a 12 year warranty. Bottom line, it's likely overpriced, but it's a good stand and should perform well for you.UPDATE: 10/13/2020I have use the heavy bag stand for about three weeks, 4-5 times per week. The weld on the top nut of the center piece has come apart, See picture. Now the stand tilts a little because there is only one bolt holding the piece in place. After using the stand, I have realized the following. This could be a great stand if Outslayer paid attention to detail. The welds on the center piece nuts are not robust eough. They should weld the entire circumference of all the nuts, like a lot of the highend fitness equipment companies do. They should powercoat the entire stand and add end caps on the bottom. They should also use a thicker grade of steel for that center piece since it's the most important part of the entire stand. This would then make the stand worth the cost. The good news is I contacted Outslayer via email ( with the picture) and via phone. They are sending a new center piece out no questions asked. So they do stand by their products.I get the impression that the stand is outsourced in some manner and not directly made by Outslayer. If that's the case, I would suggest that Outslayer do some quality control inspections.I will update when I receive the center piece.UPDATE: 10/16/2020I recieved the center piece as promised. Customer service at Outslayer is EXCELLENT and their warrantee legit . The weld on the new center piece nut was obviously more robust. About twice as much as the old piece. I still say Outslayer should weld around the entire nut, but this should be ok.I still say this is a good heavy bag stand and would buy it again. BUT, outslayer could have a fantastic stand if they just paid more attention to detail.I own an outslayer heavy bag and it is flawless. Worth every cent. So, Outslayer, put the same love you put into your bags ,into your heavy bag stand and you will have the best stand out there at a good price.

Good stand

Seems very sturdy. As much swinging as the bag does sometimes, the legs on the stand stay on the ground. The only negative I've found is one of the large bolts faces the bag at a level where the bag hits the stand with strong kicks. I'm nervous the bag will become damaged with repeated contact with the bolt.

Sturdy but extra sand bags needed

If you use the 130lb bag I recommend buying extra sand bags. Otherwise it's a great product.

Good bag and best bag stand on the market. Perfect for kicking without anything in the way. Buy with confidence.

Great bag stand!!

Just got this assembled today and couldn't be happier. I'm using it for a 130 lb bag, and there is some regular swaying as you're hitting the bag, but that's natural given the set up. Overall it still feels really strong. I love how open it is, and I can even kick freely without worrying about hitting the stand itself. I do wish the instructions that came with it would have been up to date, but other than that headache, super happy I got this.

Very sturdy stand. You will be pleased.

Awesome stand and worth the price. The sand bags are classy too. They come unfilled but holds the sand well once filled. Great job Outslayer!

Essential Training Gear

The Outslayer heavy bag and stand is a high quality, essential piece of training equipment. The ability to supplement my gym training by getting extra striking reps at home has really helped me progress and it has been noticed by my instructors and training partners in class. The sand bags used to hold the stand in place are also top quality and extremely durable. If you're thinking about getting a heavy bag, Outslayer is the way to go.

Excellent bag stand!

The stand is easy to put together and holds up well during use (no tipping issues or even a hint of that). I have a 130 lb Muay Thai bag on mine. In addition, there is plenty of room to circle around the bag. Obviously, you cannot move 360 degrees around the bag; but there is more than enough space to train good footwork and movement. There is no excuse for stationary striking if you own this stand. Lastly, there is plenty of room to kick the bag with this stand, which I appreciate. The one issue that I am having is that, when the bag gets to swinging at times, the stand slides some. I currently have the sand bags filled with 50 lbs of sand in each bag. I am wondering if adding the additional 10 lbs of sand in each bag will make a difference with that, so I am going to try that soon and see how it goes.Overall, it’s worth every penny. Great bag stand!

Great heavy bag stand for 100lb bag

I've been looking for a replacement system for my Outslayer muai thai heavy bag since we recently moved, and it should have been more obvious to go straight to Outslayer for the solution. But I'm glad I did, and this heavy bag stand has exceeded my expectations. It fully supports high impact to my 100lb bag, and of course there's some level of sway, but the filled sand bags really help with this. Construction was very simple and completed in less than 30min.

Solid

Purchased directly from Outslayer. This is a solid heavy bag stand that fit in the corner perfectly. Easy to put together, solid construction, and having sand bags instead of having to using weight plates is great for when doing kicks.

knock out value! (see what I did there?)

So far, this stand has been fantastic. It really just is what they describe; a solid heavy duty stand if you have a taller heavy bag. I don't know that I would put a full 350 lb bag on it without a spring, but I would reccomend this item in an instant

Heavy bag stand

I love the item. My son does too. He’s a 6’6” Air Force cadet. So it can be used for moms and for the biggest and baddest. There was an issue with a back ordered part, but I communicated with the seller, who explained and replied promptly to each question that I had. It’s a well made stand. We hope to use it for many years to come. The room it’s in is about 12X10 with 12 ft ceilings.

Solid structure. Good for tight quarters

Simple design and easy to assemble. Ignoring the unfilled bag for a moment, it is obviously strong enough to handle the full thing. I was able to assemble it without too much trouble by myself. Some people mentioned the stray bolt that was inside the metal sleeve that would hit the bag. Looks like they have since moved that bolt to the back side so that is no longer an issue.

Fantastic bag stand, took awhile to get shipped but worth the wait for the quality and durability. Sand bags filled to combined 275lbs and I can throw a running jump kick full force with no concerns whatsoever. Despite delays, Fighters Shop provided consistent updates on the order to keep me in the loop.

Looking elsewhere.

Unable to assemble, no one seems to be able to tell what the bolts/ screw sizes needed and can’t get clear simple answers in the questions/ comments here.

It does what I need it to do but showed ...

It does what I need it to do but showed up with large chips on the paint. Would have returned it but doesn't impede function.

Great stand, horrible set up

Great stand for at home. The only problem I found was that the stand parts were measured before getting coated so the pieces do not fit right when you try and set it up. I was only able to get one of the pins in for the vertical piece and that took the help of three others to get it on that far and an entire can of WD-40. I suggest getting a stand that is made better even if it costs more.

Good stand just hard to put together.

Good stand just hard to put together. Definitely a two person job.

Overpriced and Needs Shims

The sleeve that couples the upper half and the bottom half should be at least twice as long & with more points of attachment / thru holes for stability. Definitely overpriced and Needs Shims (I added my own) in this sleeve to create any stability. Without shims you have a serious leaner. Also, stabilization bars on the bottom need feet on distal ends to offset insert bar thickness to achieve flat plane. Again, made & added my own. The fact that it needs 4 sand bags to help create stability should tell you something.

Adequate

There are several connection points and each will screech and groan while you punch and kick the bag. It tends to scoot across the floor even though you pile up sandbags to counter that. But the sandbags also reduce the bag's swinging arc. So, that's not so great. In brief: Noisy, unintentionally mobile, compromised arc.Keep on shopping - This is not a great product.
